DinnerAide Privacy Policy
DinnerAide is an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app from Parallel 41 LLC ("Parallel 41," "we," or "us") that helps a family plan meals and keep shopping lists. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and how to delete it.
No account
DinnerAide doesn't ask for your name, email address or phone number, and has no sign-in of its own.
Your lists stay on your devices and in your iCloud
Your shopping lists, items, quantities, notes and purchase history are stored on your device and in your own private iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit), so they stay in sync across your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Item names, notes, list and store names, and prices are end-to-end encrypted in iCloud. Parallel 41 cannot see any of it. Apple's privacy policy covers how Apple stores iCloud data.
Nothing goes to our servers
This version of DinnerAide doesn't send anything to Parallel 41 or to any other company. Lists you paste into the app are read on your device. If a future version adds features that need a server, such as AI recipe help or "dinner's ready" notifications to your family, we will update this policy before that version is released and say exactly what is sent and why.
Siri
When you ask Siri to add something to DinnerAide, Apple processes your voice and passes the item's name to the app on your device. Apple's Siri privacy notice covers that request.
Families and children
DinnerAide is made for families. It has no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and it doesn't collect information from children or anyone else. When family sharing arrives, family members will join through an iCloud share that the parent sends and controls.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple sends us anonymous crash and performance reports. They don't include your lists.
What we never do
No ads, no analytics, no tracking across apps, and your data is never sold.
Deleting your data
Delete items or lists in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes what's stored on that device. To delete DinnerAide's data from iCloud on every device, go to Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) → DinnerAide → Delete Data. Parallel 41 holds none of your data, so there is nothing for us to delete, but you're welcome to email us with any question.
